The collection of Chu Po is inspired by the works of Gordon Matta-Clarck, the American architect, or better the 'anarchitec', known for his anarchistic approach to architecture, characterised by the process of deconstructing, "unbuilding" and taking things apart. Matta-Clark focused his work on existing buildings to deconstruct and reconstruct them in a new way. Much in the same fashion, Chu Po operates with cuts and reconstructions on his outfits which are clearly wearable translations of Matta-Clark's most famous works. The collection is called 'Imperfect' and consists of 6 prêt-à-porter womenswear outfits. |
