UNIQUENESS IS...HARD TO GET The fact that these photographs are all portraits, a form deliberately chosen because it is the most overrated of all types of photograph, is not what strikes those who see this work at first glance. In order for someone to pick up on the uniqueness of this project, the artist-photographer requires a curious viewer, someone who is eager to look at details, someone who pays attention to the moment. They are all moments that reveal with irony what is behind the preparation of the photo, those decisive seconds that would normally be discarded. It is for this exact reason that they are worthy of attention. They are unique because they have been captured on film. |
