WELCOME HOME When appointed professor of Architecture at the Royal Academy in London in 1806, Sir John Soane began to arrange architecture books, casts and models in his house, opening it to students the day before and after his lectures. The house became a museum and was soon after described as an "Academy of Architecture". Sculptures, objects, medals, architectural drawings and prints, medieval pieces...a huge collection coming from the whole world with the most diverse colours, tastes and materials. Amai's outfits are small characters that live in John Sloane's museum house. They are ghosts blending like chameleons and hiding in the corners of the rooms. |
