Fascinated at first by the richness of the clothing worn by queens, Mirit reflects deeply, reaching a conclusion that ends up highlighting the contrast between beauty and sacrifice. The evolution of her pondering, from start to finish, derives from the realisation that, on one hand, regal dresses were fashionable and beautiful but, on the other, they were uncomfortable and unbearable; equally nowadays, women are obsessed with beauty and fitness. Mirit translates her concept in avant-garde outfits which are beautiful but uncomfortable: an example is a collar which gives a sense of majesty to the model wearing it, but at the same time it forces her to walk bending her head and looking down. This obviously emphasises the sense of vulnerability and submission. A 5-outfit womenswear collection. |
