Erika's collection is inspired by a group of people of southern China known as the "Miao". This culture’s extreme poverty contrasts greatly with its wonderful traditional clothing worn on special occasions. Pleated skirts pair with the ancestral beauty of the huge woollen headdresses and stand as symbols of their devotion to work in order to create beauty. Erika translated and "updated" a 2000-year old tradition in her own personal way.
