Little Earthquakes and other observations by Mr. Aliperti

It was an immeadiate love affair with David Aliperti as soon we saw him, a small creature dragging enormous suitcases twice his size that had lost their wheels on his long journey to Trieste (Italy) for ITS#FOUR from Firenze (Italy), via New York. (!) David plopped down and started to re-thread strands of hand made clay beads that had broken apart during the voyage.
David also caught the eye of others, he was awarded a special prize during ITS#FOUR- a scholarship to study at the prestigious master class in Paris.
During his studies, by special request from Diesel's creative director Wilbert Das, David was recruited for yet another task, the creation of the ITS#FIVE bag and t-shirt.
In the final stages of his studies at IFM, where coincindentally he is in class with Arunabh Sharma and Veroniqe Mersch ITS#TWO finalists, Mr. Aliperti has sent us a preview of what will be. We are anxious to see how the collection will turn out, until then, here are some excerpts from a recent letter from our beloved David...

I been thinking of you all a lot lately and I look hot in my shirt :-) I was about finishing a module for school and in one of those periods that even peeing comes scheduled.
But I did well, I think, I am happy with the results. I am back to colors: reds, browns blacks, fluos and all. It is strange how this is actualy the second time I had a chance to fully develop something of my own... Its collection being the first one. And I really get to discover what was trend and what is here to stay.

Francine requested a print like the ones I made for ITS, I call it the curse of the monochrome. Hopefully in 2007 I get time to develop new from the scratch motifs and all.
These past 2 months been a bit rock and roll, because I had to manage production of the collection as well as management and I have a bit radical point of views on how things should be. I am very mafia when it comes to things as such. I believe in Fair trade, Co-ops, colabs and such.

So on and off I am happy, inspite of little earthquaques here and there things turned out fine and I am happy with the end result...

Right now I try to think globaly and respect my creative space as much as I can. Trusting love, my instincts and hoping that time and destiny guide me right...
mille baccioni, abracci, etc.
