Slumber and Backyard. May Heek in the Big Apple

She flew to New York in September 2007 to attend the Photoglobal intensive course at School of Visual Arts. Now May Heek, winner of the Photoglobal Award at ITS#SIX, is back in Amsterdam and has updated her personal website, www.mayheek.nl, which we strongly recommend you have a look at!
May's pictures often give the impression of being shots from another dimension, intimate frames caught when the border between mindfulness and senselessness just fade away leaving a powerful and absolute silence.
Her New York experience (May wrote to us saying "it was not easy to leave NY") resulted in two beautiful new projects, "Slumber" and "Backyard", that you can view by logging onto her website. In mid-October, May will be back in NY for a few days to attend the SVA Photoglobal Exhibition "New Releases 07/08".
