Tools for Fashion Designers
07 July 2009
How many of you fashion designers out there struggle to find the proper tools to sketch your ideas on paper? You always need to adapt to what exists already, i.e. notebooks, pens, pencils, etc..Nobody (at least based on our experience but we'd be happy to discover the contrary is true) up to now has ever thought about developing tools made just for fashion designers. For example, if mathematicians have pre-printed paper with charts, grids, number lines, why can't fashion designers have pre-printed paper with a croquis (that's a geometric form of the human body to keep proportions right when you sketch...)?
Tamar Daniel (ITS#FIVE finalist) as a designer was always looking for the proper stationary items to get her ideas down on paper in the best possible way, in order to present them her work more attractively. Together with her husband, she had the very smart idea of answering this need with a website (www.hokeycroquis.com) that sells stationery designed for fashion designers. We suggest you take a look, you might find the sketch book you've always wanted!
