| New Partners and Supporters of ITS! |
| June 09, 2008 |
 |
Among the several partners and supporters of ITS there are those who give specific technical support to the finalists in the realisation of the projects they will present at ITS in July. Like YKK, who works side by side with the accessories finalists giving them a virtually unlimited amount of fastenings to choose from and helping them out with the insertion of the fastenings in their accessories (some need expensive machinery and professional expertise to be mounted!). Or Salvatore Ferragamo, who will produce the prototypes of shoes and bags for the finalists who ask for their support. Or fabrics company Puntoseta, specialised in the production of high-end fabrics for the most important fashion brands in the market, who will provide the fashion finalists with customised fabrics for their outfits. But not only finalists need support... we also very gladly accept technical support in the realisation of our event! We would like to introduce you to some new partners and supporters of ITS who have recently jumped on board.
Air Dolomiti is the Italian regional company of the Lufthansa group and member of "Lufthansa Regional" (have a look at their website), that joined ITS to support the flights of our guests and offer an award for ITS#PHOTO (winner will have their photos on display for two weeks in a dedicated exhibition at Munich International Airport). Since 1998 Air Dolomiti has been collecting dozens of recognitions for the high quality of its service, like the "ATR Award for Excellence" (best results in terms of overall quality standards), or the "Skytrax: Best Regional Airline in Europe" award (best airline in Europe according to millions of passengers)... The list of awards is incredibly long and the conclusion is quite simple: if you want to step on board a great plane knowing you will eat very good Italian food, served by smiling and caring flight attendants and stewards, and knowing you will land on time, they have it all (literally a miracle for those who are familiar with airlines and airports!). The ITS guests flying with Air Dolomiti are lucky indeed!

Who doesn't know Campari? Come on! You're telling us you never drank it on its own or mixed in a cocktail? Your only excuse is being a teetotaler... Campari is a major player in the global branded beverage industry, a top Italian player and among the six biggest spirits brands in the world. They also produce quality wines, spirits and soft drinks. The famous red aperitif was invented in 1860 by Gaspare Campari. It was the beginning of a brand that travelled through the history of Italy, collaborating with important artists of the time in the design of its products (the Campari Soda bottle was designed by futuristic artist Depero, for example) and for its advertising. They own more than 40 renowned brands in the field (SKYY Vodka? Glen Grant? Tequila Cabo Wabo? You can have a look at their website here). Almost any kind of drinkable liquid is in their product range! ITS#SEVEN will be elegantly invaded by their beverages and barmen, who will satisfy our guests' thirst during lunches, dinners and after parties. Quantity is for drunkards, quality is for connoisseurs. This said, Campari is what we were looking for.

Apart from being a brand, Super//Fluo is an idea, a team of friends. The common aim is to re-launch the historical electronic Italian brands Brionvega, Sèleco and Imperial. Brionvega is a name you have probably already heard. All Brionvega products have always been characterised by a particular avant-garde aesthetic, testimony to the founders' will of creating long lasting products capable of aging gracefully. They have been defined "antiquities of tomorrow" and have won design awards all over the world becoming cult objects exhibited in the most important museums like the MOMA in New York. Sèleco and Imperial are two other well known Italian electronic brands (I remember my parent's huge Sèleco color tv set very well... at that time we were the only ones in the whole neighbourhood with such a big television!). When Super//Fluo came up with new editions of the most popular Brionvega devices (like the Doney and Algol televisions, have a look at the Super//Fluo website, people went nuts. When a very famous name in the fashion world (guess who it is, he always wears leather gloves...) saw the new Brionvega Alpha TV set with a built-in DVD in Colette boutique in Paris he went crazy, especially when he discovered that the few pieces available in the shop had already been sold. Needless to say, they found the way to give him one! All the screens you will see at ITS#SEVEN (huge ones, small ones, normal ones...) have been provided by this young and passionate team of people... With these three new collaborations ITS#SEVEN will be an edition to remember...
