What about Einav Zucker, winner of the DIESEL Award at ITS#ONE? Here she is ...

Want to know what Einav Zucker, the winner of the Diesel Award at ITS#ONE, is doing? We went to find her at Diesel HQ in Molvena and here’s what she has to say:
“I have always considered Diesel as my favourite brand for casual wear, for the creativity and the refreshing concepts they come up with every season. That’s why I got so excited when I found myself being part of this great Italian family. Starting from the day I got here I’ve been welcomed in a warm friendly way, there is a great atmosphere and interaction with all the people working in the different departments.
The Diesel studios and HQ are located in a small picturesque like village an hour drive from Venice. Living and working in the countryside was quite a shock for me, having urban blood in my veins, living life alla city (for the last couple of years in Tel Aviv and for a while in NYC), I was in love with the vitality of the city, the noise, the mass, the intense reality of Israel-moving to the quite green peaceful village was kind of a shock at first but it didn’t take me long to fall in love in the peaceful and calm place I now consider my new home …”
And what about the collection she is creating for Diesel?
“My inspiration for the mini collection is a direct continuation of the collection I presented at ITS#ONE contest. The parachutes are a metaphor of self emancipation and spiritual desire to fly. Only this time I gave the collection a different perspective influenced mostly by streetwear.
The sloppy, dusty, slightly dirty look - the white parachutes shown at ITS#ONE contest now look as if they have been buried in the ground for a few years, as though they had been left on the sidewalk capturing the spirit of the streets and changing through time - design wise and texture. The fabrics for the mini collection are cotton developed to give it a stiffer crispy look, denim, jersey and a great deal of attention to details. The colours differ slightly for the first collection - I’ve used white, grey, and tobacco orange.
I arrived two months ago, with the sketches I did in Israel after I won the Diesel award and was given the requirements for the mini collection.
I presented to the Diesel creative director the theme&inspiration, colours and fabrics I wanted to use; I was privileged to enjoy complete creative freedom.
At the end of the meeting we chose 5 garments for the mini collection, offering two complete outfits.
Immediately I started working on a suitable pattern for the garments, specific fabrics and colours. In order to choose the fabrics I was invited by DuPont to Premier Vision held in Paris, where I was shown new Lycra fabrics they have come up with.
After a few days my sketches were sent to the pattern maker for creating the pattern and after 2 weeks I had my first fitting to get the right shape, Now I’m waiting for the second fitting.
At the same time the Graphics dept. was designing the label for the garments as well as for the hanger, both carry my name, Diesel as sponsors and the ITS#ONE logo.”
