DINNER AT PREMIERE VISION
October 15, 2004
If you look on a map, or in a history book, there is really little in common between Trieste and Paris.
But, funny enough, if you happened to be a finalist of ITS in Trieste, there is a dimensional door that takes you straight to the centre of Paris at 21, rue Danièle Casanovas, Paris 1er, in a beautiful private apartment which happens to belong to a photographer in a typical old Parisian building.
The reason you'd go there would be to attend a special event organised by Ingeo (TM) fiber , the partner of ITS that created with us the Ingeo Sustainability Award, a project that, while fostering creativity, also nurtures a sense of environmental responsibility.
The winner of the Award was invited to a very peculiar night, "Dîner à la Maison" on Tuesday 21st September at 8.30 pm.
The entrance stairwell was lit all the way with candles to guide the guests to the apartment.
Among the guests, some juicy Trade Magazines: Drapers Records, Fashion Daily News, International Textile, Textile View, Textile Wirtschaft.
Yoshikazu Yamagata, the winner of the Award, was introduced to the press but all 23 finalists of ITS#THREE got their visibility; their outfits designed and realised for the project looked great standing on mannequins out on the balcony - they were lit by the big old streets lamps above and were a focus as soon as guests entered the salon. They even caught the eye of people walking on the street below.
23 creative and sustainable outfits, created with the use of many innovative Ingeo fiber-based fabric almost came alive on the balcony under the sky of Paris, showcased once more under the eyes of the international press.
This is what we need from our partners: help and cooperation in supporting the young talent, constantly, taking all the chances existing in the fashion business to give the visibility they deserve.
Everywhere, always, even in Paris over dinner.
