The process of dressing a fashion competiton
January 24, 2005
Do you know what we are talking about? Well, first of all I think we should explain how we here at EVE work for ITS. You might think that to create our communicational material we pay some creative agency or something similar. Well, if that’s what you think then think again, cause here at EVE we do all by ourselves. Everything you may see about ITS is created by us, we make graphics, posters, invitations, the website (technically supported by our beloved people at Develon), videos, CDs, business cards (and there’s also an Ever who makes lunch!), all except when specifically stated. Such as the beautiful work made by the guys of Bulgaria Magazine. Of course, all with the expert and wise supervision of Diesel. Everything is made in our offices (and homes) by our supple little frames, with our bare hands.
Starting from ITS#ONE, we had nothing to show (yet!), no pictures, no photos, and we had to express a free space to express creativity. We choose white, white and white. Oh, and magenta, of course! Then with ITS#TWO we could express something more powerful. And we used black (oh-and-magenta-of-course-!). How many things can come to your mind if you have to welcome the best fashion press in the world with something nice and… not expensive? They have already seen all and even more, and you have to be careful to not be seen as… pretentious. That means you have a lot of drafts and ideas but in the end only one will be chosen. As you can see we have something that can be called an archive… of unused ideas.

ITS#THREE welcomed shades from white to grey and white shapes covering the outfits (thanks this time to the Bulgaria creative team).
ITS#FOUR needed something else, so we made a lot of drafts, trying go get some good idea and design, starting from the pictures we had, mostly from the finalists pictures from the catalogue.

Yes we know that maybe it could seem not so “cool” exposing your trashed ideas, your efforts, when you do your best to give a cool image of yourself to the world, but it’s out nature to be a little… naive. I think we can dare to say that we have no secrets.

Then the inspiration of a girl finding herself out of place in a lot of different locations, holding balloons as if she wanted to be noticed. We made some drafts using an image made by a finalist. Bingo!
Hey, this not auto-celebration, it’s only a way to make you people know us. We have to deal with so much creativity for ITS and sometimes we like playing the creatives ourselves!
Please understand, we live in a smaaaaaaal town…
