ITS#FOUR Finalists!

April 15, 2005

Thank you to each and every one of you who survived the pre-enrolment and made the effort to send ITS# your portfolio. Since the last week of March portfolios our office have been inundated with portfolios from all over the world. We must confess that this is one of the most special moments in the year because the portfolios are so personal and some reach such an intimate level that it feels like we have already met you, and it is a privilege to. Thank you to all the postmen and postwomen who did not complain and faithfully delivered all the packages to the fourth floor (no lift in the building!).

ITS#FOUR Finalists!

From the moment your portfolios arrive in our hands they checked, caressed, visioned, read, studied and assessed. The first thing we check is if all compulsory material is included. The material is looked at over and over again and must be understandable and the collection decipherable. Which is why is of the utmost importance to send us sketches and technical drawing that are clear and not just artistic. Of no less importance is the inclusion of photographs to show how you manage to translate outfits from paper to their complete realisations. The collections were then assessed considering creativity, innovation and feasibility. A brave jury was as good as kidnapped for two whole days. The fashion jury, composed of Wilbert Das -Creative Director of Diesel, Valentina Maggi -Floriane de St. Pierre, Maria Luisa Poumaillou -Maria Luisa Boutique, Elisa Palomino -John Galliano, Deanna Ferretti -Maglificio Miss Deanna, Erika Kurihara -i-D magazine and Barbara Franchin -Director & Project Supervisor of EVE/ITS#FOUR, with moral support from Camilla Morton - freelance journalist and Jerome Hanover - UpStreet , were all locked away together until a verdict was delivered on who would be in the ITS#FOUR Generation.
Ladies and Gents we are proud to present the ITS#FOUR Finalists.

ITS#FOUR Finalists!

This was not the only list of finalists announced today… the dream of ITS#PHOTO was made into reality when Jan Welters -photographer and Anne Urbauer -editor in chief of MINIInternational put their heads together and selected the finalists.

Thank you to all jury members who took time out of their busy schedules and worked with such patience and dedication.
Thank you again to all those who entered you know who you are?

Much love
EVErs
