ITS#EIGHT –International Talent Support, platform for young creative from every corner of the earth, launches the brand new edition, culminating in the event held once again in Trieste, Italy, from 10-11 July 2009. Meet the “EIGHT WONDERS OF THE MODERN WORLD” in Trieste, 10-11 July 2009
ITS#EIGHT is a project created and developed by EVE. It is composed of three disciplines, each one with a main area partner, DIESEL for ITS#FASHION, YKK for ITS#ACCESSORIES and MINI for ITS#PHOTO.
With its awards, special projects and work experiences, ITS, edition after edition, confirms real support to the new ITS generation, which will be selected mid April 2009 by a professional panel of jurors.
Diesel, main partner of fashion, with the Diesel Award guarantees concrete support to a young talent helping the winner’s breakthrough into the international fashion industry with a cash prize of € 50,000 + an internship within the Diesel Creative Team at its HQ in Italy. ITS also assigns many more awards to the talents that make it to the finale, 10-11 July 2009: Fashion Collection of the Year, production and organization of a fashion show. The opportunity to be a member of the Jury at the following edition of ITS and € 20,000 towards the development of the new collection, Fashion Special Prize, the i-D Styling Award, and the Vertice Award.
YKK, main partner of accessories at ITS, the only contest in the world entirely dedicated to all types of accessories, has reached the fourth edition. The most innovative and creative collections will compete for Accessories Collection of the Year, €10,000 to create a brand new collection to be presented out of competition at ITS#NINE, the YKK Award, €10.000 + a professional photography shoot.
ITS, is pleased to announce the arrival of a precious sponsor: CRYSTALLIZED™, the product brand for the world’s finest loose crystals manufactured by Swarovski, which will offer the CRYSTALLIZED™ Accessories Award. All finalists can use CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements to create their collections.
ITS and MINI, main partner of photography, journey after journey confirms the new ITS#EIGHT adventure, once again giving the chance to photography students and young photographers from all over the world, to be on board at ITS#PHOTO. The lucky ones, who will enrol with the project inspired by the theme “Originality” will “drive” back home with one or more of the prizes that are up for grabs: the MINI Clubman Photo Award, €10,000+ a professional shoot with a famous photographer to be published in an important Italian magazine, Pitti Immagine Photo Award and the SVA Photoglobal Award.
The photography contest confirms its on-line branch with the second edition of ITS#PHOTOweb. This web competition, open to all, will allow the winner to become part of ITS#PHOTO during ITS#EIGHT as a finalist.
ITS#EIGHT, with a restyled website is glad to announce “THE GREATEST SHOW OF ALL!” In good old fashioned style, we will take you through a bizarre early-20th Centuriesque carnival of acrobats, magicians, mechanical wonders, side shows and more. This is the realm of mystery and fun, where you can see your future with the flip of a coin, challenge the greatest escape artists or get spooked with a ride through the tunnel of terror. The main attractions are the “8 Wonders Of The Modern World”. We will present 8 unbelievable shows, which originate from 8 images of last year’s projects and will develop through ever present concepts of creativity and inspiration. The 3 areas of the competition, and the relative exhibitions and shows, will be represented by 3 different elements of the carnival: The Sideshow, The Magic Show and The Circus. The theme guarantees that the ITS#EIGHT live event will be spectacular.
Would you like to be a finalist of ITS#EIGHT? All applications must reach E V E offices by 25 March 2009 (for more information log on to www.itsweb.org). In April a selected panel of judges for the fashion and accessories contests and one for the photography competition will meet in EVE Headquarters to choose the finalists for each category. In July in Trieste the chosen ones will showcase their amazing talent and run for the prizes of ITS#EIGHT.
L’Oréal Professionnel will create the hairstyling for the fashion show, Patricia Milton the make-up, Campari will surprise our guests with its Red Passion and special drinks and 080 Barcelona, the Catalan platform for independent designers supports ITS
