ITS 2019 - The Finalists Selection Jury

On April 16th and 17th the ITS headquarters will welcome a number of industry professionals from the ITS 2019 Jury. They will be in charge of viewing the portfolios enrolled for this year's edition to spot the young talents who will be flying to Trieste on July 12 for the Finals.

The Jury includes past finalists Aitor Throup (2006 winner) and Michael Kampe (2010 winner) who built impressive careers bringing significant contributions to the fashion system (check their short bios below...).

It is exciting to see them quoted in the research of today's contestants and having them in the jury promotes that concept of circularity on which ITS is based and for which it has always fought: past finalists who began exciting careers at ITS that led to positions as creative directors for the most renowned brands now come back, to provide their invaluable experiences for the next ITS generation. And to remind the rest of the jury how important and life-changing their selections can be.

During the same days Jury member Carlo Bach will also be in charge of picking a selected number of contestants who will be the finalists of the ITS Fashion @ Work project by illycaffè: a radical re-design of their coffeee aprons. At the same time, the Lotto Sport design team will join us to pick 3 finalists who will be required to develop a complete outfit inspired by the world of tennis and revisiting an iconic Lotto sneaker.

Barbara Franchin

Barbara Franchin
ITS Founder & Director

Barbara Franchin is the founder and soul of ITS - International Talent Support.
She was born and raised in Trieste, a town with a privileged and decentralized point of view far from the established capitals of design, allowing an ideal perspective for a pure and unfiltered view, free from mainstream visions of the world.
In 2001 she launched EVE, a one-of-a-kind agency with a key strength: an eclectic, dedicated and passionate team.
The following year she launched the first edition of ITS, selecting the strongest young talents from all over the world and hosting them in Trieste for a grand final event with over 400 guests: journalists, trendsetters, opinion leaders and major representatives of the fashion system.
Her love and will to preserve, catalogue and display these unique expressions of creativity led to the creation of the ITS Creative Archive, a collection like no other which traces the history of contemporary fashion evolution. The Archive holds 17,000 portfolios, 220 outfits, 120 accessories, 80 jewelry pieces and over 700 digital photography projects from over 80 countries.
